Peter Alexander Fillmore (born 25 April 1966) is a Canadian Liberal politician, who was elected to represent the riding of Halifax in the House of Commons of Canada in the 2015 federal election. Fillmore is an urban planner and urban designer by profession. He began his studies in engineering at Acadia University but transferred to the Technical University of Nova Scotia (since merged into Dalhousie University) where he completed an architecture degree. He was awarded a graduate degree in urban design from the Harvard Graduate School of Design in 1995. Fillmore began his career in Massachusetts and Maine, working on the Big Dig project in Boston as an urban designer. In 2005 he returned to Nova Scotia to serve as urban design manager for the Halifax government, leading the implementation of the "HRM by Design" development approvals framework. He also served as dean of Dalhousie University's School of Planning, and was head of the Waterfront Development Corporation Limited, a crown corporation charged with revitalising prominent post-industrial waterfronts in Nova Scotia. ==Electoral record==
